# Formatting a Cell

1. ## Formatting a Cell

Hello,

I have a number that I need to get into a certain format and I cannot figure out how to do this. Here is my problem. I have Column A that is formatted as such 24010-B05. What this represents is a general ledger number and a branch number at the end. Is there any way to take this number and put it into this format: 24010-B05 = 524010. Basically I need just the last number to be in front of the 5 digit number to make it a 6 digit number. Thanks for all your help. This site is great.

2. =int(concatenate(right(a1,1),left(a1,5)))

3. Another option

=CONCATENATE(RIGHT(A1,1),LEFT(A1,5))*1

or even

=(RIGHT(A1,1)&LEFT(A1,5))*1

4. Thanks guys that worked perfect.

5. Try

=MID(A1&A1,9,6)
