conditional drop down list

Hi All

This maybe very easy to do but I am new to excel and learning the application as I work more with it. Is there a way to make a drop down list to be dependant on another drop down list? I give you an example

I have a dropdown list which lists a bunch of materials (Wood, Metal, Glass, Fabric, Lighting, etc...) I also have a bunch of data list names which includes variety of type of materials. For example for the wood, I have Maple, Rose wood, Ash and so on, For Metal, I have Raw Iron, Stainless Steel, and so on...

I would like to pick a material from the first list and have the second drop down to call for the coresponding material list. For example if I pick Wood from the first list, then I want the second drop down only show available Wood type and If I pick Metal from the first drop down then the second drop down show only available types of Metal. Is there a way to do this?
