Read any x / y values of smoothed plot: then output to a finer table.. possible?

    Hi all,

Hoping that this forum can be as helpfull as it was for all the other obscure things I asked..

I find the 'smoothed line' option perfectly suitable to plot smooth lines that only have few points in the source table. However, my real goal is to then turn this smoothed line into a finer table.

So if my curve is based on entered data for every x step of 0.1, I want to output a larger table with Y values at every x step of 0.01 instead of 0.1, using the Y values that correspond with the smoothed curve.

The reason is that I have to enter this table in another application which doesn't do any smoothing so it needs many data points.

I'm how to try and go about to do this!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Niels

It was a long search but I came to this:

It is a macro that adds a Cubic_Spline function (known x, known y, x). You can easily have a small table with a few X and Y and then plot them on a smaller X step and have detailed curve table data. Excellent.

which is an excellent piece of code doing exactly what I need! Thread can be closed / removed if considered to be a good idea by mods.
