Auto_Open Message Box, but option to disable Auto_Open

Message box opens on start, and I want the user to be able to disable this from always occuring by asking them "Do you want this to appear next time this worksheet is opened?", giving them the vbYesNo buttons.

I'm leaning towards this displaying if the value in cell D1 is "1", but not displaying if it's a "0"; a no to the above question changes this value from "1" to "0".

I don't know how to get this to end without displaying if D1=0, nor do I know how to get the answer to change the value in D1.

    Thanks for any input!
