    Visit organiser

Hi hope someone can help with this.

I have a spreadsheet which has a list of contacts my team have to visit the client sites and i am trying to develop a way of improving the efficency of there visits. The problem is that the client sites change all the time. Because we are in london the majority of our visits are done via the train network either tube or overground.

My idea is to divide the region we cover into visit areas Maybe 4 central areas C1-C4 and 6 outer areas O1-O6 . It seems to make sense that as most time is lost in changing trains, to use the train network as the organising factor in that stations on the same line would be grouped.

So what i would like to do is produce a dropdown list in my excel spreadsheet with all the stations listed and in selecting say Kings Cross a corresponding value is entered into the area column say C1 ie Kings Cross is in Area C1. This would allow me to filter on say C1 and see all the client sites in that area to help in organising my teams visits. I would also like to be able to enter filter on a station and see all the sites in that area. Ie lets say Norwood Junction is in Area O6 and i am going via London Bridge i would like to select/filter on London Bridge and see a list sites which correspond to the Area London Bridge is in ie C2. (as i might not immidiatly know that london bridge is in C2. ) Alternativley in the station dropown list showed the train station and the area it was in (ie Kings Cross C1) then i could use this method ie scroll down to London Bridge see it says London Bridge C2 and then filter on C2 in the area column but this seems a bit clumsy.

Hope you get the idea and can help
    thank you
