    Excel Macro create password

How do I create a macro that prompts for a password each time the workbook is opened?

    Good afternoon mugziegumz

It's not a macro, but a native Excel function.

Go to File > Save As, Tools > General Options and select whether to use a password just to open, or a password to modify and follow the prompts.

    Hi there,

No macro needed. Do Save As > Tools > General Options, wherein you'll find an option to password protect the document on opening.
