Count each time a word is used throughout chart

I am working on a recipe/grocery list and trying to total up how much of each ingredient is needed. I have attached what I have so far. A lot of the recipes call for the same ingredients so I wanted to auto generate a list of the total amount of each unique ingredient. Hopefully that makes sense. If it doesn't let me know and I'll try to clarify. Thanks!!!

First off all you have to enter the quantity in a way that makes it possible to do calculations. Se example in attachment.
The way you have choosen to enter your data, sorted in the colums is a good starting point for beeing able to do something useful regarding sorting and filtering and calculating the data.
