Possible to use 'countif' for multiple criteria?

I'll try to make this as clear as possible. I give you this picture...
    sample.gif

What I'm trying to do is fill in the bottom table with info from the top table.
#GP would be the number of matches between the text in A22 and F2:18. I think I can do this with a "countif(F2:18,A22)".
#Wins would be when you find that match in the countif above, count it if there is a 'W' in column G of the same row.
Winning % is one I can figure out also.

So really, it's just the # GP column I can't figure out (C22:25). How do you get it to do a countif for two different things?

countif(F2:18,(Text=A22) AND (contents of column G in current row contains a 'W'))

Sorry, I tried to make this as clear as possible. This is a hard thing to explain in words.

You've got it. Had to zip it up since it doesn't like the file extension 'xls'.
