Keeping a new Style

When I create new or modified preset styles in one spreadsheet, close excel (2003) and then reopen these are lost. How do I make Excel keep these new styles?

Sounds like you want to save your Style in your Book template.
Save your modified workbook as Book.xlt (template) in XlStart folder which should be found in your OFFICE program folder. Let us know if this works for you or if you have other questions.

I have looked for the Book.xlt with no success and the xlstart file (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\XLSTART) is empty.

Any ideas?
