How to Create a Hyperlink "On Just the Text in a Cell"--Not the entire cell

I would like to create a hyperlink in excell on JUST the text portion of the cell. It should only go to the hyperlink when my mouse is over the text, but do nothing when the mouse is in any other part of the cell. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    TIA

    Hello jared_ulr,

Excel doesn't have that capability. You could do a messy work around using a Shape and placing it in the cell. You could then format the shape to remove the border, change the font to blue, add an underline to the text, and assign a hyperlink to the shape.

    Sincerely,
