    Hiding sheet tabs

    Hello guys,

Does anybody know how to hide the sheet tabs in excel 2007? i have search on the net and i only find a solution for excel 2003.

I would like to create a Menu screen with buttons to link to different sheets. However, i want users to toggle between the sheets through the menu screen and not through the sheet tabs.

Thanks in advance for your help

Just right-click on the tab name and select Hide.

Or Home>>Format (from Cells options) >> Hide & Unhide >> Hide Sheet
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Possible to hide sheet bar?

    Thanks NBVC,

I managed to hide my sheets. However, is it possible to hide the entire sheet bar?

    Maybe it is not.

    Thanks again

I think not... the workbook must contain at least one visible sheet... I get that message in both XL2003 and XL2007

This is how I perform the task of hiding all worksheet tabs including the one I am on. Place this into the workbook object (ThisWorkbook)

Then place this code into a module

If you don't add that last line it will remain that way when you open up excel. i would post the code I use in Excel 2007 but my laptop is dead and my charger is at home. If you need more, let me know and I'll look when I get home. I have code that hides everything except the cells.

    Thanks George!

    Thanks guys!

George, your solution works perfectly. I will try to create buttons to allow users to toggle through sheets.

I am still a beginner. I am only starting off with macros. Your code works perfectly.

I would like to mark this post as solved. However, i am having trouble managing that! where should i go to mark my posts as solved?

    thanks again

I have code that will pretty much hide everything in excel. If you make your own menu it will not even look like excel.

I shouldn't have said "I think not".... where there is a will there is a way...

Go to your top post and click Edit
    Click Go Advanced
Select [Solved] from the Title drop down
    Click Submit.

Hey George, if you have the opportunity once you get hold of your charger, could you post that piece of code too? In my case, your previous solution works like a charm. But it would be interesting as it might be useful in other cases.

    see ya

    Re: Hiding sheet tabs

It will do it for you. I just tried it using the code I posted. When you close the workbook, the worksheet tabs will become visible. Once its closed try this. Simply open up a totally different workbook or just open excel as if your starting a new project. To get them back within your workbook change "False" in the existing code to "True" and then click the "Run Sub" play button withing the vba editor window.
