Excel 2007 calculates all the time!

I am having a big problem with Excel 2007, and it has only started doing this in the last day or two. Everytime I try to do something, it lags and says Calculating: (1 Processor(s)) : 0% and then it has to work its way up to 100% before it will let me do anything. It even does this when I type a single letter into a cell. It's ridiculous! Is there a way to get it to stop calculating?

Nevermind! The answer is go through excel options, Formulas, and setting it to manual calculation.
