Transferring text from separate spreadsheet

I would like to construct a spreadsheet where one fills in a number from 1 to 4. Each row has a different set of alternative selections. When one selects a number, the text from a different spreadsheet with the same cell address automatically is transferred to the first spreadsheet and the number is erased. I hope I've been clear. This is definatly a VBA problem.

Record a Macro while you perform this operation (as closely as possible) "by hand".

Then look at the VBA code, if you have any programming experience you should be able to figure out how to adjust the macro to more acurately fit you requirements.
