checkbox question

Can someone tell me a simple way to make a checkbox put information from one cell into another? Please forgive me for the ignorance

...and welcome to the forum!!

Open the Forms toolbar, and draw the checkbox on your sheet using the CheckBox control.
Then right click on the control you've just drawn and select Format Control.
Under the Control tab select the cell you wish to link it to.
Click OK.

Your control is now ready to be used and the state of the box will be reflected in your chosen cell.
