    triangulation in a circle

Hi there, I am trying to find the daily increment of movement within a 360* circle of three things in relation to each other. I have attached a sheet to hopefully convey my needs : )

    Warmest regards,
    Martin.

    Absolutley and I appreciate it.

I am trying to determine the amount of movement forward with in a 360* circle. Basically A-B+C then as a complete unit what is the increment of movement forward. I run into problems when they round the 360 as you can see : (

    In G3 and copy down,

    =DEGREES(ASIN( COS(RADIANS(E2)) * SIN(RADIANS(E3)) - SIN(RADIANS(E2)) * COS(RADIANS(E3)) ) )

You could alse change the formula in E2 and down to

    =MOD( MIN(ABS(C2-B2), ABS(360 - C2 + B2)) + D2, 360)

So far so good, the degrees formula is doing it...I dont understand it, but it seems to match my manual calculations. Thanks very much : )
