VAT and Discount Calculation

Im trying to write a small spreadsheet to calculate Discounts then add VAT.
the sheet I have written doesn't seem to work.

Here what I have so far
STAFF
COST PRICE 100
% TO ADD =B2*0.1
TOTAL + VAT =(B2+B3)*0.175
FINAL COST =B2+B4

Which gives

STAFF
COST PRICE 100
% TO ADD 10
TOTAL + VAT 19.25
FINAL COST 119.25



Which isn`t the expected answer.

Yes trying to have it show Cost then adding percentage in this case 10%
then adding vat.

If you want the steps broken down, as per your example then just change B5 to

=SUM(B2:B4)

or in one shot, Roy's suggestion should give the same result but I think he missed out a parenthesis, try

=(B2+(B2*0.1))*1.175

or

=B2*1.1*1.175

Many thanks for that, works now for some reason couldnt see what I was doing wrong.
