    Connected drop-down lists?

I'm creating an invoice with fixed priced items.

One cell has the item name, another a price. I want to keep them in separate cells so the price can be used to calculate totals.

The drop-down values are in a separate workbook.

If the item name is in A4 for example, and the price is in C4, is there a way to link a specific price that will populate C4 based on the item chosen in A4?

I hope I explained that clearly.

    Thanks.

    Doug

Sounds like you could use VLOOKUP
    Hope that helps.

    Thanks Ray.

There is a saying: "Give the person a fish and he eats for a day, teach the person to fish and he eats for a lifetime."

Never used VLOOKUP as most of my Excel needs are simple, but I can research and learn about it.

    Again, thanks.
