    Excel Permutations!

    Hi everyone,

    I have a problem whereby, I would like to find out a way to get a combination of dichotomous answers, and the way to incorporate the permutations of "YES,YES", "YES,NO", "NO,YES"... which is for 2 questions..

    The problem is, I have 29000 lines, and it is one messy lump of data. Within that 29000 lines, I will narrow it down to groups.. therefore i no longer get 1 or 0 (Yes or No) values... the values that i get will be the number of lines that says yes or no in a group.. can is still do the combination of YES YES, YES NO, NO YES?

    Please help!

    Its not clear what you are trying to do with these values. Or what results you want.

    It might be easier if you used the logical values TRUE and FALSE rather than the text "Yes" and "No". That would make useing the functions AND, OR and NOT easier.

    How to use this would depend on what you are doing with list of values.
