# Calculating a Price Range

1. ## Calculating a Price Range

I am trying to calculate and show a price range. Example: You come in to buy a car and want to add some wheels. You can buy the wheels for \$2,326 or you can finance them. The cost of financing is about \$22 per \$1000 financed so to finance them would be about \$51. Here's the rub. I have to show a price range of about +4% and -4% (\$49 - \$53). I can easily calculate that using 3 fields:
[a1=51], [a2=a1*0.96], [a3='-] and [a4=a1*1.04]

Is there a way to calculate that and display that in one field?

Thank you for your help

Jim C

2. Try:

=TEXT(A1*0.96,"\$0.00")&" - "&TEXT(A1*1.04,"\$0.00")

3. Thank you very much. It works. By the way, you look very young to be working with Excel. Beautiful Baby!!

Have a great day.
