    Eastern Time to PST

I download a spreadsheet that returns the following Custom format:

    3/21/2008 17:36:18

This is EST and I would like to convert it to PST. I only need the date without the time.

For example, the following is important to my spreadsheet:

3/21/2008 23:43:00 (Column A) to show as 3/21/2008 (Column B [or any Col])
    3/22/2008 02:58:10 to show as 3/21/2008
    3/22/2008 03:01:00 to show as 3/22/2008

Looked at a few searches but couldn't quite get them to work.

    Thank you.

    If you put (in B1)

    =A1-TIME(0,3,0)

and format column B as a date that should work.

(or do you need it in Standard time even in the middle of summer, i.e. account for Daylight Savings)

..Wrap code by selecting the code and clicking the # or read this. Thank you.
