    Any electrical engineers in here?

Before anyone tells me to "Google" it, I already did. Is it just me or is the internet getting so big and full of crap that any search brings up 100,000 hits?

I am looking for an Excel low-voltage voltage drop calculator. I need this for designing fire alarm, security and other low-voltage systems, for my job. I have found several for 120VAC+ systems.

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you using Excel to monitor an alarm system in real time?
Or are you analizing data after it is gathered?

..Wrap code by selecting the code and clicking the # or read this. Thank you.

Well, thank you for welcoming me, but I've been a member 2 years more than you -- I should welcome you. Ha, ha - just kidding.

Nothing so cool as that. I am laying out the circuits, for example determining how many horn/strobes (pulling a given amperage) can go on a pair of 14 gauge wires, at a given distance, for a range of panel voltage (19-30VDC), at a maximum power output, typically 3 amps, but sometimes with a cushion factored in. Make sense? I have a bunch of variables: wire gauge, length, load (amps), input voltage, power available, spare power factor... but I do not have the formulas. It's basic electrical engineering math, but I am by no means an electrical engineer.
