Show if any cell has meet condition

    Hi -

I have a few cells that I have conditional formating to make font bold red if meet. There are too many to look at. Can I make one cell at the top of the page say something that will alert me to look down the list for anything in red bold???

    Thank you

You can use a formula that is based on the condition you used in the Conditional Format dialogue to get you a message in a cell, just include it in an IF statement...

What is the formula you used to get Red/Bold? And what range does that cover?
Where there is a will there are many ways.

    Formula

I use the conditional formatting that:
Condition1: Cell value >3 then (turn font to bold red)

I do this about 2 dozen times. I guess I could write about of if statements then, I was hoping there was another way that I didnt know.

    If(max(a2:a25)>3,"look down","")

    =IF(COUNTIF(a1:a100,">3"),"Review Data","")

where A1:A100 is your range containing numbers.
