    Hello Revolver,

    Welcome to the Forum!

I noticed your question hasn't been answered. It would help to have more information on how you would like this booking system laid out and what data you will be using in it. A few short examples would go a long way in helping us answer your questions.

    Thanks,
    Leith Ross

Using Excel for a booking System?

Hi, I've just started to create a lesson booking system on Excel for my local golf club.

I want the customer to be able to open up the system and then be able to see which lessons are booked and when they are available.

I think the best way to do this is having the spreadsheet like this.

Then the customer will be able to double click on the timeslot he/she wants.

Once this happens the box would change colour to say red.

This would indicate that the lesson is booked so nobody else could book it.

But how would I go about doing this?

Any other tips would be great aswell.

    Hello Revolver,

I can write a macro to do this for you. I could also have the macro insert a cell comment with the name of the person who made the booking. That way when you place the cursor on a red cell (booked), the comment will be displayed telling you made the booking. If this a feature you would like to include, let me know and I'll add it.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Hello Revolver,

It has been one of those days. Every time I started working on this project, I would get interrupted. The attached workbook is modeled after your screen shot (hope I did it justice). You can fill down the cells as you need for each month. To activate a new booking or edit an existing one, Double Left Click the on a time. Test it out and let me know if it suites your needs.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Hi again.

Is it possible to have more than one month on the system shall I have a different sheet for each month?

Is there a macro available so the bookings delete themselves after 12 months?

    Thanks again.

i think if you put the worksheet module into the workbook module instead
you can then add a new month to any tab.
i can't test it myself as im excel97 and this code is not running ok on that
try a pm to leith ross

Hello geniechua, and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately you have inadvertently broken one of the forum rules. Please read the following and make the necessary change. Thanks.

Your post does not comply with Rule 2 of our Forum RULES. Don't post a question in the thread of another member -- start your own thread. If you feel it's particularly relevant, provide a link to the other thread. It makes sense to have a new thread for your question because a thread with numerous replies can be off putting & difficult to pick out relevant replies.
