Rev. Auto Updated when sheet is updated and or entire book

Hello World,

Looking for some help on the following.

Everytime I make a change in a spread sheet and or any part of a book. Is there a way to autoupdate some type of Revision number.

Example:
If I edit a sheet when I save it I would like for the revision to look something like: 040608-1150am
or
040608a
next 040608b

How can I create with your help...this field somewhere on my book.

Many copies flotting around...I people keep picking up the old information.

Okay, sounds like what you want is a particular cell to increase by 1 every time the workbook is saved. Would that work for you? Theoretically, people won't save the workbook unless they've made changes. This would require VBA but shouldn't be too difficult.
