Pivot table field list record association

    I hope someone can help

I have generated a pivot table to which we add new records to the dataset every week and refresh the pivot. My problem arises when I dropdown the pivot field list (page section) - am looking at week# in particular and I get the attached list in the dropdown.

It would seem that the pivot cache is associating an incorrect week# with the dataset from another week. I have tried pulling that field back into the field list, refreshing pivot and then putting it back into the pivot (has worked in the past for other pivots), but it continues to associate the records incorrectly. Does anyone have any thoughts on this problem???

    Uhmm...

The main thing that jumps into view is the fact that your have "14" twice
as week. This should not happen.

This might happen if "14" is somehow spell diff, ie, with leading spaces for instance in one row and without in another or different cell format.
Check if you have any of the week numbers formated as text.

How are you getting the weeknumbers in your raw data? You should use the "Weeknum" formula if you have a date column in your data.

=weeknum(A1,1) if your consider your week starting on sunday
=weeknum(A1,2) if your consider your week starting on monday

There is no such thing as a problem, only a temporary lack of a solution

that is exactly the "temporary lack of solution"
the data is correct - the week value in the raw data is a value, not calculated
there is no problems with formatting etc, somehow the pivot table seems a "little mixed up" - for example everything is fine up to week 7, however as you can see in the list week 8 data is represented in the pivotfield by week 12.

This is the part I don't get and hope that someone does

It would help if you could zip and post the table in the thread.
The pivot is reading correctly, the data is incorrectly/differently inserted.

Pivot tables dont get mixed up, if both values are displaying in different places, its because, somehow, they are different.
