    Sorting

I'm a little confused with a sorting problem.

In a grid of numbers I want to sort row 1 ascending left to right, row 2 ascending left to right, row 3 ascending left to right and so on.

It's not really a list as the contents of any cell is not relevant to any other cell in that column. They are just individual rows each needing to be sorted.

I fear that I'm missing the obvious but what do I do and can I use a macro to do it all?

    Thanks - Tonome

    Hello tonome:

First select the row you want sorted, then in the menu bar click Data/Sort. The Sort warning dialog box will open click Continue with current selection and click the Sort button to continue. With the Sort dialog box displayed click the Options button and another Sort Options dialog box will open, click the orientation for Sort left to right and click the OK buttons.

Thank you very much, Flintstone! The orientation was my problem.

So, I can sort each row as you describe. I can record a macro to sort a row but then I would have to run the macro every time for each subsequent row.

Can anyone please tell me what is the command I need to insert into the macro to get it to repeat the action until it reaches the end?

    Thanks - Tonome
