    Hi,

There appears to be 20 matching races, there is a formula in column A

=IF(AND(B2=B3,C2=C3),"Match","") that finds the matches between the dates and times of the race.

In C2 this formula extracts the time

    =TIMEVALUE(LEFT(D2,4))

should have explained myself better really chippy

if i copy and paste from a site for example

    8 Apr 2008 2:40 Lingfield MOKSI 7-2 4/12 -9529 -13606

on excel if i just copy it straight in it comes up

    08-Apr-08 2:40:00 AM 2:40 Lingfield MOKSI 07-Feb 04-Dec -9529 -13606

odds were 7/2 and it shows 07 - feb and it finished 4th of 12 and ot says 04-dec ive tried formatting cells before i paste but must be doing something wrong

This is the way to pull information from a website in to Excel so that it keeps the format displayed like the web page.
