problem with trendline

i have plotted a scatter graph in excel with 15 points. i want to set a trendline but only using the first 6 points. i can only seem set set a trendline for all 15.

please help. my physics report is due tomorrow.

Do you want the trendline to cover the entire range of the 15 points or just the first 6? I would imitate a trendline using Excels' Slope and Intercept functions to create it.

See my example. When you create the second series from cells D7:E8, format it to marker = "none" and format the line however you want it. Set up series 1 to have markers only and no line.
