Problem with Links

Someone in my workplace has a problem with their excel that when they go to open a link like "ABC 123 DATA.xls" it will come up as an error and go "Cannot find ABC" and then if she clicks ok it come sup"Cannot find 123" and then it will come up "Cannot Find DATA" and then it will open the file.
Another problem is that she cannot send Excel files to one other person in the office, they won't open on her computer but all other Excel programs on other computers will work.
What can I do ?
