    Condtional Formatting with LIKE operator

    Hi All,

I am trying to set a conditional formatting rule which states.

If the cell contains the word WAN then change font colour to red.

I have tried 'Formula is =A1="*WAN*" and a few variations but none seem to work.

Can anyone help me out pls.

    Thanks

    John

    Good morning johncassell

Probably a couple of ways to do this. Here's one :
    Formula Is
    =SEARCH("wan",A1)

    HTH
