    Conditional Formatting

    Hi,

I have a large worksheet with thousands of numbers. I'm told that a few of those numbers may be stored as text.

Is there a way to conditionally format the whole range to highlight those numbers that are actually stored as text?

    Thanks!

    Good morning andrewc

Go to the first cell in the column you want to check (say, A1) and go to Format > Conditional Formatting, and select Formula Is :
    =ISTEXT(A1)=TRUE
Then use the format painter to copy the conditional format to the end of the range.
