    Time and Fractions

    Hi,

I have a spread sheet with call times (length of call)

Data is entered (at present) as 0.5, 1 1.5 etc, (0.5 being 30sec increments)

I need to now start entering as actual time, eg 0.32 equals 32 secs etc.

Call costs are calculated at 1 sec increments now instead of 30sec blocks, so it was easier just to use 0.5

    TIA

    Thanks..

I was hoping to be able to enter the data in raw format and have excel convert, but I'm thinking this is not going to be possible.

    =CONVERT(A15,"sec","mn")*100

Using the above, if I enter 0.30, it returns .50 (which is what I want, as Im calculating costs based on the per second. So if call is charged at costs 0.05 per min and is charged in sec increments, then 30 seconds would result on a cost of 0.025.

Thats all ok for times upto 59 sec, but then I get lost, if I use 1.30 as a time example, it gives me 1.66666

    Is what I want achievable..?

Try the "DOLLARDE" function. Use whole numbers for minutes and two place decimal for seconds (i.e., 0.01 - 0.59)

    For example:

    Given 1.03 in A1 (i.e. 1 minute and 3 seconds), then in say, B1:

    calculates 1.05 minutes
