Conditional Formatting

Hello Everybody,

Here is my issue: I have an xl file with in one of the colums values such as
tel DB 1rst rem high START
tel DB 1rst rem high START
wtg CL confirm pt PMTCL
wtg to close CLOSE
tel DB 1rst rem high START
pb:tel DB 1rst rem high START

I would like a conditional formatting in this column so every time the value starts with "pb:", the cell color becomes red

Can you help?

Select the entire range and go to Format|Conditional Formatting

Choose Formula Is from 1st drop down and enter formula:

=Left(A1,3)="pb:" where A1 is top-left most cell in your selection.

click Format and choose your colour.
