Hi,

I'm an administrator for a small company data network. I babysit their network equipment as well as handling user related software problems. Just today, I got this call from a user with an excel problem. Hope someone here faced the same and share with me his / her experience.

I've been trying high and low trying to figure out this problem. Searching this forum doesn't give me the right answer as well, or maybe I'm just not using the right keywords.

Here's the problem : Excel 2003 on Win XP Pro
When she tries to copy an existing sheet to a new book, the file temporarily appears and then dissapears. THe same goes with any other sheets. Can't seem to locate the new file. Funny though, when try again, the name of file is different . I mean, book3, instead of book2.

Tried save as a different filename in the same and different folder, no luck. But when she copies the file itself to a different folder, the problem is not there. Copy to a new book works !?

Its a 3.5 MB excel file, i think has some macro codings in it but disabled.

So, appreciate everyone's input on this problem. She can do the work but the issue is bugging me and I can't close her case at moment.
