    Shared files and conditional formatting

    I'll try to expain what's happening...someone in my office is using a shared file. In the file, one of the columns has a drop-down menu giving a choice of 3 different entries (every cell in this column has this drop-down). Depending on which of the options is chosen, the entire row will change colour. When she selects one of the options, the row doesn't change colour. However, when I do it on my PC it works fine. Does anyone have any idea how it might be fixed on her PC? Is there any reason that conditional formatting might be blocked when she tries to use it?

    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated..

    Go to Data=>Macro=>Security.

    Check that the security settings are set to Medium (Preferable!) or Low. I suspect that you have it set to High which means that macros won't run.
