    Removing blank cells

    Hi,

What's the fastest way to remove blank cells in a column. Let's say I have a column of data, and some of the cells in the column are blank. What's the best way to remove these cells so that all the cells with data are together.

    Thanks in advance

By the way, I wish to keep the order of the data intact, so I can't just sort.

If the cells you're trying to remove are truly blank (no formulas resulting in "" or non-visible special characters), then you could select the entire column and press F5. Then click the Special.. button, select 'Blanks' and click OK.

At that point all of the blank cells in the column will be selected, so you can click Edit -> Delete... -> Shift Cells Up. That should do it.
