Question Conditional Formatting based on value of another cell

    Hello,

Im sure this has been answered before, but I cannot find an exact answer using the search function. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have 2 columns

    A B
    2.00 12

Column a is a value which is derived from a formula
Column b is a value which is also derived from a formula

I need to colour the font blue in A when b=12,
I also need to colour the font red when B=14.

There are only 2 possibilities that will occur in Column B, 12 & 14.

    How can I do this?

    Regards,

    James.

Put your cursor in A1 then
Format, conditional formatting, formula is, =$B1=12, select the relevant formatting, then add, formula is, =$B1=14, select the relevant formatting, OK, OK.

    Then see how it goes.

Select A1, go to conditional formating and select isformula from drop down and paste this formula =OR(B1=12,B1=14) and then select the format option and fortmat the cell as you want.
