    Data plotting problem

    hey all,

how do I plot the axis data in my graph in an increasing order, when I have my datas in a random order?

In other words, I have bunch of data to be plotted as my x-axis. All numbers are within [0;1], but they all in a random order, like (0.001, 0.923, 0.120, ...). And I want them to be in an increasing order.

    How do I do that?

    thanks a lot in advance,
    Tuugii

Would it be possible to rearrange the data in increasing order before plotting?

can you post a small example of the data and how you are currently charting it?

    please see the attached file.

I want to plot "12.,,," numbers in y-axis, and [0,1] numbers in x-axis. But on x-axis by an increasing order.

I don't know how to arrange the data in an increasing order?...

    thanks,

You would use an xy-scatter, see attached.

Your data does not match your description though.
X axis values range from -55.64875676 to -45.64875581

ooops, sorry looks like I didn't notice the change excel made to the data...

here is the real data that I am asking about. As you can see there will be 3 main rows. I want to plot first row as my y axis, and 3rd row as my x axis/all values are here between [0,1]/.

    thanks for the help.

You would still use xy-scatter on your data set.

an xy-scatter is just one of the built-in chart types.
It looks similar to the Line chart but differs in the fact that the x-axis is a value axis rather than a category axis.
