excel cannot complete this task with available resources

    I had the same problem w/ my desktop on c2d with 3gbs of RAM. found the culprit. the freeware "ditto" a clipboard manager. as soon as I killed it, it worked fine.

    looks like it's hogging too much clipboard space, which is being shared with excel.
