    correct me IF i'm wrong

    Hi All,

I this will require an IF formula, something I don't tend to use often, can anyone slove this?

I have a retrieved list of 200 variations of flavours from a database into column A for example Strawberry, cherry, Lemon, Lime, Paprika & Chilly. I want the flavours to be grouped going by items not in the database so it’s not something I can retrieve and sort. How can I group column A’s items using a formula to the group names in column B which are Sweet, Sour & Spicy?

So I would want Strawberry & Cherry to be Sweet and Lemon to be sour

    Many thanks,

    Who.

    G'day,

Just throwing an idea around. What about data validation. Yes you have to sort the list manual first but after that its organised, with easy selection.

    Basic way

    You made need

Really it all depends on your layout and the way you want to retrieve your data.

    Cheers
