Item menu /search

I did a big book to calculate proyects in the way that I have a big sheet with all the articles and in the another sheet where I add items, I do it through a drop down menu where I click on the item of my choice. Of course, since the list of items got really long, now it lasts too long to scroll to find the article you need. Well, what would be useful is to be able to have search for eg. for the word 'lamp' to be able to choose between the lamps that we have. But I don't find any way to combine the drop down menu with the search. Do you have any ideas?

First you'll need to put together a list of catagories; eg lamps, furniture, chairs, etc. Let's put that in column A of sheet 2 and we'll name it catagories (don't include the header/title).

Next, make lists in columns B, C, etc to cover all the different catagories. Name them the same as the name in the catagory (e.g. the list in B will be called "lamps").

Third, on your main sheet, have dropdown box validation = list > =catagories
Fourth, create dropdown box two with the formula =INDIRECT(A1) where A1 is where your first dropdown box is.
