Lost Excel File

    Lost Excel File

    I created a file yesterday for the appraisal of my team members.
    All interviewed data entered in it but i am not sure the file name and its save location.It is very important data beacuse activity is close.

    Thourgh window search i try my best but all vain. Can any body help me in this regard.
    Is there is any excel file history or backup on 18.06.08 created or viewed file.

    ...and welcome to the forum!!

    Try going to Windows Explorer and going to C:\Documents and Settings\ and going into the user you are signed on as. Then go to a folder called either My Recent Documents, or just Recent.

    If you cannot see this directory, then from Explorer go to Tools > Folder Options, View and tick the button marked Show hidden files and folders and click Apply.

    In my recent directory it shows my last 348 files.

    With Excel open have you tried, clicking on File, then looking on the list of last files listed on the drop down?
