pasting links

i am making a workbook so my company can bill clients on a monthly basis. invoices are issued every month to the clients. each job is assigned a number, and each invoice is assigned a number as well. here is one example:
0000_0123. The job is 0000 and the invoice number is 0123.

i want to enter the job number in one cell and paste that link so that a calendar will fill with job_invoice numbers. each month, the invoice number changes but the job number never changes. how can i paste that so i can edit the linked cell(s) without having to retype the job # every month?
is this possible?
if it helps, i'm using Excel 2007.

I am sorry but I do not understand what you are trying to achieve. Can you attach a worksheet as an example?
