Does anyone know how to do this? I have lots of columns that need to be combined into a single column. Any ideas appreciated, I have looked in all the forums but cant quite find the right answer.
Thanks
Beatrice

Try concatenating...
e.g.
=A1&B1&C1&etc...
Then you can copy this new column and Paste Special >> Values so that you can delete the old columns, if desired.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

I need to preserve what's in the cells but I want about 50 columns of cells to be stacked one under the other into one tall column!
Sorry about the double posting but I realised I was in the wrong forum, I need vba code for this don't you think?
I think you need to explain a little better, beatrice. Posting an example would probably help.
ok,
put all data in columns abc into column d
except i have many columns and about 300 rows
A B C (column)
1 4 7
2 5 8
3 6 9
change to
D (column)
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
I hope this explains it and thanks for any help

Maybe like this, beatrice. Untested.
Sub b25() Const nCol As Long = 50 Dim iCol As Long For iCol = 1 To nCol Range(Cells(1, iCol), Cells(Rows.Count, iCol).End(xlUp)).Copy Cells(Rows.Count, iCol + 1).End(xlUp).Offset(1).Paste Next iCol End Sub
