Opening hyperlinks

I'm trying to open hyperlinks in cells and I can of course click on them to open them. But I don't get a response when I hit the return or enter buttons on my keyboard. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hyperlinks work by clicking on them not by selecting the cell and hiting Enter button.

But it worked before on my old computer at my job.

I'm using a new one now because the hard drive on the old one died....C'mon I know this can be done....
