allocating values over a range of months

    Hi,
I have sales forecast information which shows for each new piece of business:
..The total value of the work
..The first month that work will happen
..The split of the work value over months (indicated by a value like "211" - meaning 50% in month 1, 25% in month 2, 25% in month 3)

I need to produce a forecast with columns for each of the next 12 months.
Can anyone suggest a method that will display the correct month's value for each row in its correct monthly column.

I have attached an example to show what I am trying to achieve.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

    regards..

    Try this formula in D13:

Please Login or Register to view this content.

the formula must be confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER
not just ENTER. You will see { } brackets appear around the formula... then you can copy it down and across the table.

    See attached sample.

Where there is a will there are many ways.
