    Days between two dates

    If I have two dates one in each column, how do I calculate how many days there are beteewn them in a third column

    Subtract the first date from the most recent date, format as a number. That gives total days between the two.

    I should've been more specific, just in case, sorry.

    For the purpose of this answer, I've placed the date 6/1/2008 in cell A1 and the date 7/16/2008 in cell B1. In cell C1, the following calculation will return the answer of the number of days between the two (45 days):

    =B1-A1

    Difference in two days

    Will that only wprk, by putting the date in the US Format, ie month, day , yr, what happens if the years are different.

    The format of the dates is irrelevant, A1 and B1 don't even need to be the same format..... as long as they are valid dates.

    Dates can be as far apart as you like.

    Did you try it? Any problems?
