external data warning

I get a message `automatic update to links disabled` on my spreadsheet, although I have links to other pages in the workbook I dont have anything linking to external data. I have never seen this before so what should I do regarding this? I would prefer the message disappears.

links within sheet itself does not generate this message

click on data tab>edit links
is there any source in there?

Ok I get one link to `copy of PO 25-5 xlsx` worksheet A Unknown.
Location desktop.
Check status, error not found.

I do have some back up copies of the spreadsheet but cant find the one with the exact name. I can delete the back ups now and just make a fresh backup copy, would that be ok?

Update... found one with same name on my memory stick.

ok to find where the link is
press ctrl+F
find ".xlsx" and click find all
this is provide you with a link on exactly which sheet and cell the link is
after this you can determine what to do with the link
whether you still need it (by the sounds of it you don't)

you can copy and paste values to make it a solid figure instead of a link
do this for all the links and save then you wont have that message in the future
