Calculate formula using a minimum value

I wasn't even sure how to search for this so if it has been answered again and again, my apologies.

I have formula =((R17-$R$12)/S17)+S17 where the $R$12 figure is takeing the value of the R12 cell for the calculation, but if R12 is less than 10 then I want the calculation to use 10 if it is higher then I want it to use the value of R12. Is there a way to do this?

... MAX($R$12, 10) ...
