Two cell accumulator

I'm trying to do what seems like a simple task but haven't been able to figure out how. I'm not actually even sure what to call the type of total I'm looking for... the closest I can guess would be a running total, but runnng total forumlas I've tried aren't working as needed.

I want to keep track of constantly increasing numbers, that will be added to daily. I imagine it like this. On Monday I enter 3 in A2. B2 updates to 3. On Tuesday I enter 5 in A2, B2 now updates to 8. B2 should always increase based on the number I put in A2. What forumla do I need to do this?
